Fabulous Pink Grapefruit And Gin Cocktail

Rosemary syrup and gin pair beautifully with tart grapefruit juice to cheer your spirits – or skip the gin for a refreshing mocktail.

Ingredients

Rosemary syrup:
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
3 large sprigs of rosemary

Cocktail:
1 1/2 ounces of gin
1/2 cup of fresh pink grapefruit juice
1 tablespoon of the rosemary syrup more if you want it a little sweeter
Sparkling water .

Instructions

For the rosemary syrup:
In a small saucepan on the stove, add the syrup ingredients over medium heat. Dissolve the sugar for about 5 minutes. Do not let the mixture boil or crystals will form. Once the sugar has dissolved, pour the syrup into a heat-safe container. It will keep in the refrigerator for ten days. You can add it to teas for a delicious sweet flavor.

For the cocktail:

Add the fresh juice, the syrup, and the gin in a glass with ice. Mix with a spoon vigorously for a few seconds until everything is combined . Top the glass with sparkling water. Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary. You will get a heavenly scent every time you take a sip.

For a Mocktail replace the gin with more sparkling water  !
